Who we are…

The Lotus in Bloom Foundation (LIBF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Louisiana whose mission is to advance mental wellness and safety for adults and children in underserved communities who are affected by violence and trauma through advocacy, education, mental health resources, and strong community support.

LIBF’s vision is to build communities where cycles of violence and trauma are broken, safety and healing are accessible, and all individuals are empowered to bloom into a life of strength, resilience, and connection.

The Lotus in Bloom Foundation was created with the intention of advocating for individuals impacted by violence and trauma, and systemic barriers to mental health care. We aim to break cycles of silence and isolation by bringing mental health-related conversations into accessible spaces. We meet individuals where they are, not through clinical treatment, but through our events, educational resources, and unwavering support.

We strive to increase mental health accessibility for individuals and families in underserved communities who are affected by violence and trauma.

What We Do

Advocacy is the heart of our work. Beyond our efforts to advocate for better mental health polices in the state of Louisiana, we are committed to advancing mental health equity by supporting individuals and families who experience systemic barriers to mental health care, such as financial constraints, limited access to providers in their area, and transportation challenges.

We are committed to empowering individuals through knowledge. We offer free webinars, workshops, and educational events that are focused on the importance of prioritizing mental health. Our efforts provide practical tools and strategies to increase community awareness, connect individuals and families to appropriate resources, and reduce the potential for crisis.
