Meet Our Founder
Faith M. Southerland, BS
Faith is a mental health professional and community advocate with a deep commitment to creating safe and affirming spaces for healing. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2022 and a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of New Orleans in 2026, where her passion for trauma-informed care and community-based support continued to grow.
While Faith’s professional foundation is rooted in counseling, her dedication to advancing mental wellness extends beyond traditional clinical settings. Within the community, she has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in St. Tammany Parish, representing the best interests of abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system. She is driven by a desire to support individuals and families in ways that feel personal, empowering, and responsive to their lived experiences, particularly those in underserved communities who face barriers to accessing mental health resources.
Through advocacy, clinical practice, volunteer service, and direct support, Faith strives to promote safety and raise awareness around various forms of violence, with an emphasis on sexual assault, human trafficking, and domestic violence. Her work also centers on addressing the lasting impact of trauma experienced by adults and children in communities across Louisiana.
At the core of her mission is a belief that healing should feel safe, compassionate, and accessible to everyone, regardless of location, income, or socioeconomic background.
